Because WAVs are more versatile.

FLAC for me achieves a 40% to 50% compression.

From the audiophile focus on sound, there is no difference between
WAV (pcm) and any of the lossless compression systems. These include
FLAC, MLP, WMA-lossless, AAC-lossless, etc.

WAV files have two downsides. They are bigger and you can't tag them.

I don't see how wav is more versatile, if you can explain what you mean that'd be awesome

I remeber reading you are a dumb and bass dj, is there anywhere to download any of your old sets??

I am not really big into the DnB but I found a couple songs I like and am starting to think this stuff is pretty cool.

Songs I like:
Logistics - Together(VIP Mix)
Un-Cut - Midnight(Marcus Intalex & ST Remix)
Lenny Fontana - Spread Love(Nu Tone Remix)

What are some of your favorite drum and bass tracks/what should I check out?

Cheers man, hopefully you come back to Alberta sometime in the near future I keep missing the LA Riots shows .

You'd think if size was the only deterrent that the pros would outweigh the cons. A TB external HD is ~200 bucks. Which in comparison to how much people spend on other shit for quality enhancement isn't much.

It's a completely lossless format with more than obvious quality advantages. I'm probably not seeing something - but that's why I'm asking, what is it that keep DJ's from using FLAC?

hey daniel, i don't know if you remember, but i was the guy who talked to you in nyc while you were on the tour bus. did you say you recognized me or something? it was hard to hear you, and it would definitely be incredible if you did, being that the only time i've ever spoken to you before was after Studio B in nyc last time the MSTRKRFT tour came to town. if i recall correctly, you were also really drunk, haha.

anyway, i wish you had been djing as well, it's been quite a while (in fact, since that studio b show) since i saw you dj. also, you gotta stop coming to nyc on weekdays, 'cause that's when i'm not around!!!

Hi Daniel,

I'm gonna be at I Love Techno in Ghent.
How do you feel about playing there?

Is there a way to meet you over there?
I'd like to make a picture with you & me on it for on my myspace so I can show al my friends...
I know there's gonna be a lot of security people...
My real name is "Maarten Horions".
Maybe on the streets in Ghent somewhere?
