Not coming on the fist of god tour?

It'll be a shame to not get the chance to see you, your sets are my favourite.

I am no longer able to return to Cuba because of the whole embargo thing but Puerto Rico is as close as I can get.

Laz, awhile back, you did a mix for Subdrive where you started it off with Spank Rock and went into Green Velvet. What's the track after Shake & Pop? Thanks a lot, man.

hey diego,

give me an email i can send link to. I ended up scrapping the vocals and making an original out of it cause of the amount of work that went into it. also, dubfire asked for an instrumental cause the vocals weren't up his alley.

so the original(instrumental) will hit teh beatport before halloween and the feist vocal im just going to keep internal til the release then let it hit the internet after.

thanks.

Hey Laz. I'm still pining over that Back to the Future. I know you said we'd never speak of it again but my hands out empty so my lips are full of it.

Hey Laz,

I'm really feeling the new techier stuff that you're putting out. I have a production question: how do you get those really quick percussion lines in your Feist remix? Hopefully you know what I'm talking about...Popof does it alot as does Dubfire. Are you automating a delay or are you just using the scissors tool to cut up the perc hits into 16ths and 32nds? Thanks.

thanks man,

yea pretty much automate delay. i believe i used the waves super taps plug in for that and assigned a few parameters to midi, turned a few knobs while looping then drew in the automation when i found something i liked. i did the same with a few other parts of the song. you could technically cut it up depending on length of sample, you dont want to get noise artifacts from cutting a sample too short. but yea both methods should work.

Hey Laz
I am 15 and have been djing and making music for about two years now. I started djing small house parties and worked my way up to pretty big shows. A lot of people have been trying to convince me to manage me and represent me but I feel like i am being taken advantage because I am only 15. Do you have any tips on how to sort out the bullshit people from the legit people and how you dealt with this when you started out?
