headphones i've been using for a while are the technics rp-dj1200. they sound good except im on my 3rd pair in the year since the plastic tends to crack. if you get them with the warranty at guitar center you get a full refund on them so i just keep buying them with warranty.

i don't know how to explain mexico.

deadmau5 is on point. i've been playing some of his stuff for a good while now.

i wish i could help with the xponent vs b-52 but im not too familiar with dj work stations. if youre looking to dj all digital with midi control i'd recommend ableton.

heres chromeo remix

What kind of midi controllers do you use? Samplers? Drum machines? Keyboards? And which makes would you recomend?

even for straight-up djing? like, not even playing my own stuff. 'cause i always thought it was looked down upon in the dj world, even if it's just for all-midi control. i mean, it makes it ridiculously easy to match beats and whatnot.

though, i've actually used it twice now to "dj" parties. they've mostly just been typical college parties but it's kinda fun, still. although, i actually went through the trouble of making my own template and whatnot for my midi controller.

i do all soft synth. only hard synth i own is the korg ms2000 and thats gathering dust. Running out of pro tools w/ a small novation midi keyboard. But started with ableton/reason combo. Soft synths are all trial and error but i'd strongly recommend anything arturia has to offer. They have great mini moog and arp2600.

i meant ableton if you were just going to go all internal. i personally use serato with the vinyl...I was playing all records before and even a bit of cdj's. i dont mind midi/ableton as long as its creative enough.

b52 is more on the hardware/analog feel side
similar to cdj's

torq is cool but the xponent (i have it) is just really plastic
i feel like the fader is gonna break off when im scratching
but all the little buttons and bell and whistles on it are great, love the built in effects, and loop functions it brings
i havent messed much with the prodigy but it seems good.
