Yep dreamcast was the first console to go online. And no doubt about shinmue being amazing, that's the game that made me go out and buy a dreamcast again a few months ago. Its a shame that they discontinued the shinmue series because of the "death" of dreamcast. Now no one will ever know what happens in the end.

And Toy commander! That game was one of the best multiplayer games.

hmm i'd say dreamcast was my favorite, it was so ahead of it's time. unfortunately piracy killed it and i will admit i was guilty of downloading and burning dreamcast games.

I still download and burn Dreamcast games all the time. When I bust it out at partys people are all like "wait... is that a? Holy shit!"

I have all those games you mentioned above.. but the ultimate beer drinking nostalgic time is always had with Jet Grind Radio and Gauntlet Legends. Those games RULE. Powerstone also is a party fav.

¡Hola Laz!

I was wondering if you listen to music in Spanish?... If so, who are your fave artists, etc...? Have you ever heard this Argentine guy called Gustavo Cerati?

i'm so glad so many of you remember dreamcast...it really was a great console.

marked the end of sega doing hardware, i wish i never sold mine. i think that console would be getting more play than any of my others right now.

i used to send out to al-p and/or jfk.

i now master and mix everything myself, in a open space loft with high ceilings. horrible room for mixing but i've gotten so used to it by now that it actually pans out fairly well.

monitors make a world of difference too.

listening to him now on grooveshark. never heard of him before. spanish music i mostly listen to is all that i grew up hearing at my families parties classics like Joe Arroyo, El Gran Combo, Grupo Niche, Oro Solido, Celia Cruz etc. I even go into afrocuban religious music sometimes as those have almost nothing but amazing live hand drums. It's where you'll take notice a lot of my percussions including hand drums, shakers, etc are directly influenced from.

I'll sell you mine if you really want one. I don't use it enough to justify having it just lay around, the N64 gets more party use. Was thinking of just craigslisting it but if I could unload it here that'd be better.

my great grandfather, Fernando Valadez was a pretty famous spanish singer in like the 40s. I had no idea until my grandmother told me recently. I actually tried looking for some of his songs on limewire and i found many...crazy.
