We drew up schematics for it today

(or the 10-oh!-10 as i like to call it.)

that was the rough idea of the schematic, like what buttons / encoders we wanted on it. I'd doing the circuit schematic right now and it's right annoying. I keep forgetting little stuff like whether I want stuff in series or parallel. I haven't done hardware stuff like this for about a year :S.

Any new gear you got on your Christmas list? I've been really wanting my own CDJMK3's
but seeing as the set is $5,000 I was thinking of just settling with an MPC1000. 1G, I can spare.

i haven't thought much about christmas yet. but i probably wont be buying anything til after i move in january.

yea the cdjmk3's are pricy. i would love to own a pair myself and a djm800 mixer. i currently dont have a home dj set up but will definitely need one to practice on the traktor scratch pro + midi set up before i use that in public. Been really liking the faderfox midi models.

Speaking of moving, I'm gonna have to be especially mindful of the noise restrictions of my next apartment.
The apartments I'm in right now are considered "luxury" apartments and all these snobby rich folk like to get
their peace and quiet at 8pm. Which, for me, is shit. At night I have to put my monitors at level 2, my guitar amp
at level 1 and my computer 5.1 set up at 3. Are your neighbors pretty cool about the noise? Any tricks to keep your
tightwad neighbors from hitting their ceiling w/ a broomstick. I'm pretty pent up about it, I'm actually thinking
about leasing studio space once I get another raise. Or just occupy my mom's garage or something.

i only have the monitors on from like 11 am to about 7 pm. after that i use headphones if i have to keep working. but either way i like to stop working on music at a certain time to shut my mind off and relax for the rest of the day. just like a real job!

by the way...how awesome is this?

That's what I end up having to do. I really think my "creativity window" is from 10pm-ish to 2am though. I just really
wish I didn't have to use the studio headphones because you're right, you use 'em all the time and you'll go deaf.

That man had two things that most people wouldn't know what to do with. No, I don't mean just 2 shoes.
He had Cojones and the Opportunity. Too bad he didn't have great aim. Sonuvabitch, he almost got 'em.

Have you seen this Oldschool hardware remix of Nude?
Youtube

I think the coolest part is the gramophone hard drive platters. I've been finding all these cool uses for old HDs lately, the coolest being the midi platters
