As far as dancefloor stuff check Tiefschwarz, Audiofly, Loco Dice, Jamie Jones...all groovy stuff with some interesting ideas there. Not too hard either (no homo).

but if you looking for some rougher darker music always check out Dubfire, Oliver Huntemann, Radio Slave

the possibilities are endless

hey, im still down to contribute if you ever need someone

im a big fan of kris strom's art on animals, i intend on buying the dvd, right now i have the video from animals in 720 and it fucking blows my mind

you know what else is interesting? R&S records still going strong,i thought all they did was put out dominator and then die away

Laz,

I'm not sure if someone has asked and this has been answered (if it has I'm sure someone will tell me) but what happened to "Rosa"? I thought it was supposed to be up on Beatport, like, a month ago.

label kept pushing it back but we got june now for sure.

thing is three-o-five hired stylus music to do promos for it. great service that gets the release in the right hands outside of the network of musicians we know already.

so they just wanted to run extra promo time to hype up the release more.

Have you tried out Prototype or Infamous (or anything new for that matter) for the PS3?

I've done about all I can do on RE5 and am thinking it might be time for a new game.

no i've been meaning to try littlebig planet.

I have to re-beat RE5 cause i got my own ps3 now instead of my friends. Sucks cause I had just gotten infinite ammo on a few weapons. I've been playing RE4 on and off for the last month too.

Have you listened to Jacques Renault's Summer '09 DFA mix yet? It's quite good; I've been playing listening to it a lot. I just wanted to get your take on more traditional, classic Disco records; what you think of them; if you ever spin them.

not yet but i have to check it out.

last mix i listented to was joris voorn at awakenings fest. and i keep going back to Ame's Fabric mix which is #42.

disco records are fun and definitely useful to bring out at the right time. i dont have the vast knowlege of disco that james murphy or pat mahoney have though so i'll leave the purely disco sets to them.

although a few days ago i dusted off my turntable to skim through some records for samples and i found sylvester's mighty real. what a great track that is

heres a video of laurent garnier playing it at cielo in nyc

hey what do you as far as getting drum samples? right now i'm sampling old disco drum breaks but because they are such old recordings they give me a gritty sound, which is pretty cool but i'm looking for something a bit cleaner

mostly single hits from a bunch of random obscure sample packs. the loops that i use for the rhythm's sake are mostly from old afro-cuban music thats been handed down to me. The gritty sound can give stuff a bit of analog and organic feel!
