makes sense. i was just surprised you didn't drop venganza or skeleton, especially skeleton, considering that's the basis of your EP, unless i somehow missed it. it just threw me and my girlfriend for a loop because i definitely wasn't AS familar with your music at the time as i was with congorock and mstrkrft but we couldn't really discern one track from another.

i think i played both of those!

felix do you master everything yourself? im having trouble getting a big sound out of my tracks and wondered if you had any mastering advice.

i'd say dont be afraid of red-lining a bit. especially in reason, because it doesnt really clip out. export multiple mixes, pushing your masters and your synths as far as you can and then compare with other songs that you like. If you are working on a mix, listen to a song and try and imitate that strength.

ableton question: i see a lot of people adjusting the size of loops and sometimes dropping loops just using the knobs, i cannot figure out for the life of me how to do that, i can drop a loop using the buttons and what not but not right at the point the song is playing that second.

hey felix, your stuff is the shit, sounding really great keep up the great work.

gotta question about ableton though do you manually beat warp all your tracks before you play them? If so how long does this take you when you get a bunch of new tracks?

i usually beat warp everything before hand, but can do it live if i need to- it takes me about 30seconds to warp a track.

what is your ableton setup? do you do a traditional "ableton dj" setup with a deck a and deck b with fx returns? do you cue at all? what keeps you busy during a set? what is your template for ableton and your uc33 if you dont mind me asking?

thanks a bunch

Felix, can we talk about your AKG's a bit? i was wondering if you mix on them because they REALLY have a flat frequency response, or is it cus you're just so used to them and know them like the back of your hand? Or is it a combination of the two?

I'm thinking of picking up a pair cus I live with five other dudes and I can't always mix on my monitors in the middle of the night!

Wondering what kind of reason refills you use or if you do most the sound design yourself?

Im using ableton to produce alot now I started with Reason moved to Logic and now I am using Ableton...Thinking about using a bit of reason again.
