I've been thinking about this actually. What kind of things would you like to see if I did a video tutorial? Like a specific skill in general, or just a breakdown of a song? Anyone else chime in if they think this is a good idea, and/or if they have any thoughts on what would make it beneficial to you guys...

I would definitely think this is a good idea. It in itself would be beneficial, since it's much easier for me to watch someone use a computer and speak over it than read.

when are you going to do some more production tips? maybe something about how you go about mastering tracks.

For mastering I think anyone can easily find out how to do that stuff online. Its a lot of info and would take forever to discuss here, but I suggest the #1 things: no rules and use your ears.

For Felix: when you create a song, how do you go about starting the song off? Is it usually a lead or bass sound/rhythm that you hear in your head that you layout into a track? Or do you start synthesizing an instrument and get some type of riff from that and build from there?

I'll either hear a melody first and then figure it out and then build the groove around that, or start with a kickdrum and then build a bassline rhythm around the kick. Rhythm is the most important thing for dance music. Even if you're bassline is great it'll sound like shit if it doesn't groove right!
